I have decided to run for the governing board of the Waugh School District to ensure the quality of the education provided at the two sites remains top in Sonoma County. In addition, I am interested in maintaining the focus of ourschools on the learning and achievement of all of our students. I have been blessed with four wonderful children, three of which attend Corona Creek currently, and feel strongly about giving back to the community in which I live and reinforcing the importance of education with my children. I was fortunate to land in the Waugh School District and, as we have ten more years before my youngest leaves Corona Creek, I am invested for the long term.

As a homeowner in this community it is apparent that there is a direct correlation between the property values and the excellence of our schools. Our District has continued to attract new families who are here to provide their children with the best possible education. The desirability of living in a neighborhood where your children can receive a top tier education without the expense of private schooling will help in the stability of the property values.

I believe that the combination of education and work experience I possess will enable me to make responsible decisions with the resources entrusted to the District. To that end, I graduated with honors from CalPoly San Luis Obispo with a double major in Accounting and Finance. I spent five years as the controller of a national music distribution company and am the currently the Director of Finance for as international housewares firm based in Novato, where I also serve as the operations manager.

I believe that through open communication with all of the stake holders, governance based upon integrity, professionalism and a clear vision, we will maintain the levels of excellence seen in our schools. I look forward to serving you on the Waugh Unified School District Governing Board.
