September 20, 2010 Del Mar Hills AcademyI want to thank the League of Women Voters and all the PTAs for this candidate forum tonight. We have many important decisions on November 2nd. However, this decision will have the greatest impact in your lives... greater than that for congress, governor or even state assembly. The biggest impacts are from local races and the most important one is to vote for three candidates to help lead this district. My parents made a pledge to my siblings and me, that that they would help in any way to insure that we went as far as we desired in our education. They did. I saw the hard work and dedication that my mother made as a teacher and the joy that came as the child's thirst for learning grew. We are all here tonight because we share those same values. It starts here in Del Mar, not only for my children but for yours. Let's work together for our excellent schools, build a vision and provide every child with what they need. Let's restore the 3-R's to the board and this wonderful district. Thank you and have a wonderful evening. |
