Michael's Philosophy

In March 2014, I was honored when Carlsbad's Mayor and City Council voted unanimously for me to fill a recently vacated City Council seat.

To continue the work we have begun, I am running in the November 2014 election to serve you--fellow Carlsbad residents.

Our city is entering a critical stage in its life cycle, transitioning from rapid growth to maturity. It is important to balance environmental, social, and economic issues to safeguard and improve our community.

Let's work together to preserve the small town atmosphere of our beach community. I am committed to protecting the diverse habitat we value while enhancing outdoor recreational opportunities.

I also am devoted to maintaining Carlsbad's tradition of fiscal responsibility. We must ensure the highest level of service at the best value. Part of this means we need to continue to support our varied employment base, ranging from internationally recognized biotech firms to our well-developed tourism industry.

In the next several months, I hope to meet many of you. Please contact us, attend one of our events, or volunteer on the campaign with some terrific neighbors.

Thank you for visiting my web site. I am honored to earn your vote.
