Sage is a Carlsbad community leader with a passion for improving education through common sense reforms and dedicated leadership. As one of the original founders of the Carlsbad High School Student Union, Sage helped organize concerned students to help speak against continued cuts to the classroom environment, and to spoke towards putting the focus on Carlsbad Unified's underutilized facilities.

Sage has spent the past few years in the I.T., marketing, and content industry exercising his expertise with computer technology and social media. He hopes that his knowledge of computing and networking will help bring a fresh, modern perspective to the board, and allow Carlsbad Unified to begin modernizing its classrooms as we continue into the 21st century. Sage is a small business owner, and was previously the Media Director of one of the nation's most recognized consulting firms for conservative causes and candidates and the Brand and Technologies Manager with a large North County manufacturing company.

As a community activist, Sage sits as a non-voting member of the central committee of the Republican Party of San Diego County, and has spent the last election cycle helping campaign for candidates who bring a sound record of fiscal responsibility and rational decision-making to North County. He is also an Associate Delegate with the California Republican Party.

One of Sage's greatest sources of inspiration is his brother, Dylan, who was born with cerebral palsy. Through personal experience with different special education programs in different districts, Sage has continually advocated for the rights and resources for those who are special needs.

Sage hopes that becoming a member of the Carlsbad School Board, he can help be a voice to those who don't have one, and make sure that whether or not they're aware of what's going on at the school board meetings, that their education is protected and preserved for years to come.
