As a Lemon Grove Planning Commissioner for the past ten years, I have had the privilege and responsibility of working to create a well-planned and vibrant city. In the last ten years, the Commission has recommended many projects and improvements to our city, including multiple mixed-use and other housing projects, a dog park, a new car dealership, street and sidewalk improvements, a new public library and a new downtown park, just to name a few. In the process, I have established good working relationships with city staff and community leaders.

I grew up in this area, attending local schools, including Helix High School and Grossmont Community College. After finishing college and establishing my career in Northern California, I moved back to San Diego County, eventually settling in Lemon Grove in 2002, where my husband and I have been lovingly renovating our 1904 farmhouse. I have immersed myself in the Lemon Grove community and am actively involved with the Soroptimists, the Relay for Life, the HEAL Zone committee, Thrive Lemon Grove, a local food pantry and the Site Council at Lemon Grove Academy (where my granddaughter attends school).

Lemon Grove is a wonderful community, which I am proud to call home. As a member of the City Council, I will strive to make our town one in which people desire to live and work in. To do so, I will support continuing efforts to 1) improve Lemon Grove streets and sidewalks, making it a safer place to walk, bike and drive, 2) give law enforcement the tools to combat gang, drug and street crime in Lemon Grove, and 3) improve parks, recreation facilities and recreation programs in Lemon Grove.

I would be privileged to further serve my City as a member of the City Council and hope that I can count on your vote.
