I seek to maximize the cost effective utilization of taxpayer financial resources. I will ensure that future development does not degrade existing Fire and EMS service to District residents or impose additional costs to District taxpayers.
My wife Karen and I have lived in the District since 2007.

I am a retired Finance executive with a BS in Business Administration from CSU Fullerton and MBA from CSPU Pomona.

The annual budgeting and fiscal oversight of the Fire District's expenditures is a major function of the Board. I am experienced in managing organizations to achieve their organizational goals within cost constraints.

I am an elected member of the Valley Center Community Planning Group from 2011 to present.

I understand how Municipal Governmental Agencies operate.

I have working knowledge of the San Diego County Consolidated Fire Code, Deer Springs Fire Protection Ordinances, and Deer Springs Fire Protection District Bylaws.

My Priorities: To focus on hazard prevention, public education, and emergency preparedness.

Continue collaboration with State and Local fire agencies and Fire Districts to ensure the best possible Fire and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) to the District.
