As a member of our Board I will consistently advocate for each of our students receiving the best possible education by:

Safe Learning Environment: Providing a secure and protected environment for all students, teachers, staff and administrators. Everyone associated with educating our students should feel safe and respected, and thrive

Prepared Graduates: Ensuring that each student has a safe, engaging, and challenging learning experience K-12 that educates and prepares him or her for the future. Recognizing that a complete education includes many learning experiences targeting personal, social, and cultural growth.

Well Rounded Education: Inspiring teachers to deliver curriculum and provide learning experiences that give each student the motivation, opportunities and skills to be successful. Working to ensure students a well rounded education in: Academics; Health & Wellness Programs; Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Environment (STEM-E); Vocational; Special Education. Analyzing and interpreting data to monitor policy and programs to ensure effectiveness and viability

Supporting Superintendent Coleman's Mission Statement: "The time we have with our kids will be effective and efficient, not wasting one minute, one second while we have them in our hands." Provide students and teachers the motivation, skills, and tools required to accomplish this Mission Statement. Assisting the superintendent in raising the qualification and expectation bar ensuring that OUSD hires and retains the most effective, dedicated, and fully trained administrators, teachers and support staff

Community Engagement: Actively encouraging parents, the community, and businesses to support students in achieving their ambitions and becoming contributing members of our City and the global community. Work to maintain and create strong relationships with: Student/Work Training Programs; Student/Further Education Programs; Student/Art & Music Programs and other opportunities available in our City to prepare our students for their future.
