By Lisa Cuestas

Candidate for Board Member; South Bay Irrigation District; Division 4

This information is provided by the candidate
I want to help lead an agency that forms partnerships with its customers to better manage its resources. We need more incentive programs for residential customers to adopt water-wise practices. We need to work with neighborhood businesses and large water users to adopt conservation programs that make sense.
I have dedicated my 15-year professional career to serving others in the non-profit sector. I am an administrator, managing millions in community-benefits services and programs throughout the South Bay. I am thrilled about the opportunity to now serve the public as their elected representative on the South Bay Irrigation District.

I am also excited about this opportunity because I learned about serving the public from my father, with a 20 year career in water and recently named Assistant Water Operations Superintendent. I grew up knowing that water is for everyone and that we have to work together to keep this precious resource affordable for the future.

I want to help lead an agency that forms partnerships with its customers to better manage its resources. We need more incentive programs for residential customers to adopt water-wise practices. I cannot think of anything in public service more personal than providing safe drinking water in our homes.

Please join my two young children and husband in supporting me as your representative on the South Bay Irrigation District, Seat # 4.
