Lou is firmly committed to high technology, math, and science education. He completed a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in 2009 and immediately applied his training to teacher education. Lou has taught mathematics and science in Palo Alto, San Diego and Escondido. He considers himself a role model in inspiring students, particularly as the demographics of Southern California change.

Lou is a firm believer in accountability of teachers, administrators, and students. High standards should be expected of all. Lou wants public education to be a success story and intends to be a trustee who will be relentless in expecting higher graduation rates.
