I was raised by a teacher Mom and steelworker Dad in a conservative old order Lutheran home in northeast Ohio, where emphasis was placed on education. I was active in scouting from Weblos through Explorers; finishing as an Eagle Scout and troop assistant Scoutmaster. I've been a member of the National Rifle Association and am a firm believer in responsible personal ownership and use of fire arms. I am a 'youthful' 70 years of age, and retired.

I worked across Europe, the Mid East and Asia as an oil company engineer; then as a marketing executive. My wife of 40 Years is from Japan. One daughter-in-law is Vietnamese; the other Hispanic. We have 3 grandsons and 1 granddaughter of significant mixed ethnicity and heritage; hence my continued active involvement in Alpine's schools and my strong support for an Alpine high school.

I am conservative by nature and a registered Republican. I do not believe that political partisan politics has any role at the local level such as the Alpine Community Planning Group, and other local boards including those for fire protection and schools. I pledge to represent the majority of Alpine town residents to the best of my ability and to my understanding of their expressed needs and wishes.

I place the preservation of individual property rights foremost.

I have been a member of the Alpine Comunity Planning Group for 8 years. My intent is to seek re-election and to continue to work on land use and zoning matters in a manner that increases the wealth, well-being and strength of Alpine; and by those actions that of town residents.

I believe in and support sensible land conservation, with preserved properties open to the public for its use and enjoyment.

I beleive in, and am working hard towards, Unification of our local k-8 school district; which will allow Alpine to have and operate its own high school.
