La Mesa's Future

Dawn. The view from Mount Helix. La Mesa, the Jewel of the Hills, is a wonderful place to live, work, play, and shop. If we want a bright future, we need a City Hall that works for all of us.

If the voters honor me with this opportunity to serve, I will focus on:

Three Priorities for La Mesa's Future.

Safe Neighborhoods + We deserve a well trained and responsive police force that reflects our community values. Our firefighters and EMT's should have the resources they need to save lives. Our trolley stations need to be safe and clean. The trolley should reduce the volume and frequency of the "federal horn." La Mesa neighborhoods should be designated as trolley "Quiet Zones" after 10 pm.

More Parks + We need to expand our park acreage and improve our urban environment wherever possible. We should encourage tree planting and community gardens.

Smart Streets + We should continually reexamine our street patterns and policies to decrease traffic, synchronize street lights, fix our potholes, and encourage walking and biking.

A New Day at City Hall.

We need to recruit, train, and retain the best city employees. Let's encourage innovation and problem-solving among city staff.

City Hall should treat all residents and business owners with fairness and equity. La Mesa property owners are not the problem, they are part of the solution.

Let's never forget + we work for the taxpayers.

Our government should be user-friendly. Let's make our city more efficient by investing in tech upgrades.

Let's encourage investment in La Mesa with a smart development system that's clear, fair, efficient, and sustainable. Whether you remodel your home or build a multi-unit project, City Hall should respect your time, money, and labor you invest in improving your La Mesa property.

In Southern California, water is precious. Let's encourage smart and sustainable policies for managing potable water, our sewer systems, and storm water runoff.

With clear vision, staff leadership, and community support, La Mesa can be a model for the rest of the state. La Mesa's future is in our hands, it will take a team effort to succeed, please join me.
