1. What experience and training would you bring to this office?

• Directed self-support UC "business" at 30% margin

• Directed multimillion UC online course development

• Taught at Foothill-De Anza for 30 years

• Groomed in professional business at IBM International

2. What do you see as the role of the Board in labor negotiations?

• Responsible first to taxpaying communities

• Supporting contract terms that advance college initiatives

• Assuring fairness in both monetary and non-monetary arenas

• Advocating for long-term fiscal resilience

3. What are your goals for the college? Are students, faulty and staff currently meeting those goals?

• Intensify student recruitment and retention programs by emulating successful models.

• Restructure basic skills programming away from a deficit model (you're not ready yet) toward a coaching model (here's specifically what you need to succeed).

• Revisit curriculum in terms of the experience of high school graduates with the new Common Core Curriculum.
