Candidate Statement

I am an experienced Board member who you elected to advocate for the best education policies so our students are college and career ready.

I've kept my promise to maintain a safe learning environment, to be a voice for parents, community, and staff, and to bring the insight of my 19-year career in the classroom as a behavior interventionist with the Anaheim City School District to the Boardroom.

As your leader, I have brought accountability to our District and maintain my advocacy for 21st century skills. Our students are learning with rigor and purpose.

My children are products of AUHSD and my 2014 graduate bonds me to your families.

Having been an O.C. resident for 47 years and a homeowner in Anaheim for 25 years demonstrates I know this community.

My role as a board member of the YMCA, Greater Anaheim Special Education Local Plan Area, Kennedy Performing Arts Center Foundation, and AUHSD Foundation, in addition to my service as a liaison to the city of Anaheim, further strengthens relationships and vital services for students.

AUHSD's teachers support me. They know I will remain vigilant for our studetns. Please reelect a trustee who truly represents the entire school community.
