Government service better use of our tax dollars

By Robert L. Douglas

Candidate for Trustee; Rancho Santiago Community College District; Trustee Area 4

This information is provided by the candidate
Santa Ana College and Santiago Canyon College must be fiscally conservative on balancing their budgets.
Maintaining the identity of Rancho Santiago Community College is the quality of good service is very important. State funding to community colleges can be subject to budget shortfalls. Therefore, due to this uncertainty, our community college must spend money on what is best for the students, and not waste money on projects that are of no value to students. Our community college must look at new ways of getting revenue for the college.

The community colleges must work with business owners and other stakeholders from the community to be successful and financially sound. We must take that leadership position - to lead in the role of limited spending, and not waste taxpayer money.
