Barbara has been a proud Huntington Beach resident for more than 40 years. During that time, she's raised a daughter and become a highly respected business and community leader, serving for four years on the city's Planning Commission, including one as Chair.

Over the years, Barbara has been actively involved in numerous Huntington Beach community causes and organizations, including the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce (who honored Barbara as Business Woman of the Year), Huntington Beach Visitors/Marketing Bureau, Huntington Beach Council on Aging and the Huntington Harbour Republican Women's Club. She is also very active in the Orange County Association of Realtors, serving as President in 2005.

Barbara is running for City Council in order to protect Huntington Beach's quality of life while promoting business and job growth throughout our city. Public safety is a vital component of quality of life and Barbara wants to ensure that the protection of our citizens remains a top priority at City Hall.

A licensed and award-winning Huntington Beach real estate broker since 1976, Barbara understands the impact that excessive fees, taxes and bureaucratic red tape can have on small businesses and their employees, which is why she will look for ways that City Hall can operate in a more business-friendly, fiscally-responsible manner.

While on the Planning Commission, Barbara focused on protecting Huntington Beach's world-class quality of life while balancing the need for the business and job growth necessary to fund vital city services like police, fire and city infrastructure.

She will bring that commitment to balancing the needs of the city and all its residents to the City Council.
