Candidate for
Council Member; City of Kingsburg

In my opinion the biggest challenge faced by Kingsburg is business growth for both new and existing businesses. With opportunities for both large and small businesses available in the Kingsburg Business Park, we need to work to attract new businesses to Kingsburg. We also need to encourage residents to shop locally to help exiting businesses to prosper. Finally, by increasing our marketing of Kingsburg as "The Swedish Village" we can bring more tourism and travelers into our downtown. These efforts will generate additional revenue necessary to maintain and improve the quality city services we enjoy in our community.

Kingsburg is a quaint, family-friendly community and I want to work to preserve those qualities. We need to have more quality park space available as well as more activities for our youth and families. By working together with specialty groups we can develop park space that meets their needs as well as create more opportunities within our community for activities.

To keep our quality of life we need to maintain adequate police and fire services for our community. We need Public Safety Officials willing to communicate with our community to understand needs and keep us all informed. We have Neighborhood Watch programs to keep citizens informed and help us be involved. Finally, by generating more revenue we can increase our resources for police and fire services.
