Establish and Enhance External Partnerships for the Purpose of Improving STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math), the Arts & Athletics.

  • STEM - We are extremely fortunate to be the home to not one, but two renowned National laboratories. As a major technology hub in California, we need to leverage our position in order to gain maximum advantage for our students.

  • The Arts - We are the home to a premiere facility in the Bankhead Theatre, as well as many vineyard-hosted venues. Further exploration of these relationships may provide advanced opportunities to our students pursuing interest in music and art.

  • Athletics - As the largest City in the Livermore Valley, and member of the premiere East Bay Athletic League, we are in a position to attain statewide and National recognition for our student-athletes. A comprehensive, coordinated plan should be developed for student-athletes with potential at the next level.

Modernization of Our Facilities

My recent visits to several school sites during the Measure G initiative provided me the opportunity to see just how lacking many of our schools are relative to:

  • Technology
  • Energy Conservation
  • Work Stations, Square Footage and General Appearance

Seek Additional Funding for Targeted Objectives

  • Safety
  • Facilities
  • Curriculum

I plan to actively pursue external sources for the purpose of augmenting existing funds. Through partnerships and grants, I believe there is the opportunity to improve upon currently underserved needs.

Achieving Excellence requires hard work, dedication and focus - traits that I have utilized throughout my entire career.
