Common Sense simply means approaching an issue with plain ordinary good judgment along with exercising sound practical sense. Too many times Government tends to complicate the issues. Our Legislature sometimes fails to recognize the cause and effect of legislation that is proposed or passed in relationship to the people, businesses and industries that will be affected. The law of unintended consequences always becomes realized after the fact and usually at the expense of our liberties, freedoms and finances.

We need to apply good common sense before a bill becomes law through an active and thorough debate of the legislation on the House and Senate floors, before ever sending the legislation to the Governor's desk to become law. Our Legislators must embrace the notion that our Liberty, Freedom and our pursuit of happiness must be their guiding principles and foundation necessary for all proposed legislation.
