Thank you for the opportunity to serve as you Mayor in 2006, 2009-2010 and Councilmember 2003-2007, 2007-2011. Please share one of your three votes with Mitch Ward on March 5, 2013.

2003 - 2004 City Council Work Plan (partial listing)

- Metlox Parking Structure Opened
- Approved 9-11 memorial location in front of new police and fire facility
- Improved downtown trash collection program
- Reviewed and fine tuned the Bulk and Volume/Mansionization ordinance
- Expanded tree ordinance

2004 - 2005 City Council Work Plan (partial listing)

- Improved our E-Government systems- water bill payments online - website enhancements
- Hometown Security - Developed and implemented a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
- City Council prepares for major disaster by reviewing roles and responsibilites.
- Created a strong tree preservation ordinance
- Established two dog parks for off lease exercies
- Reviewed and strengthened MB bulk and volume/manisionzation ordinance.
- Relocated Police & Fire departments to temporary facility while new facility being built.

2005 - 2007 City Council Work Plan (partial listing)

- Completed the construction of Police and Fire Facility
- Completed the construction of the Metlox Plaza
- Completed the renovation of The Strand and El Porto Parking lot
- Successfully negotiated three five year contracts with Teamsters, Fire and Police personnel
- Participated in Manhattan Beach Unified School District's Substance Abuse Task Force for students
- Improved Traffic and Parking conditions around Mira Costa

2007 - 2011 (partial listing)
- Manhattan Beach AAA financial rating maintained
- Surplus in reserves continued to be generated
- Banned single use plastic bags
- Negotiated a new trash contract with Waste Management
- Calmed Sand Dune Park's over usage
- Recruited and hired a new city manager
- Put in place a plan and funding for replacement of 50 year old sewer lines
- Obtainded Federal stimulus dollars for infrasture upgrade
