I am running for Los Angeles City Council District 13 because I believe in our capacity to build safe, sustainable and prosperous neighborhoods. City Hall should work for everyone, not just a few. Join us to improve our quality of life, promote transparency, and create jobs in this modern economy.

We are at a critical moment for our City of Angels -- a time when we have to make the right choices. We need principled leadership to form the efficient and effective government that we deserve.

I am running for Los Angeles City Council District 13 because I believe in our capacity to build safe, sustainable and prosperous neighborhoods.

I came to Los Angeles more than two decades ago and have been blessed to live the American dream. I graduated from college, started a family, and began teaching at UCLA. In this city, I found love and discovered my purpose in life.

I have worked tirelessly as a father and teacher to help preserve opportunities for all Angelenos, beginning with my community. The 13th district is the heart of LA. My neighbors come from every corner of the world and our communities have powerful cultural, economic, and social resources. Together, we have founded excellent schools, supported local small businesses, and protected our environment.

My faith in the power of the people is absolute. City Hall should work for everyone, not just a few. It is this belief that moved me to launch a campaign honoring our right to good government. We can make a difference in our neighborhoods -- we know how to do it.

I hope you will help us improve our quality of life, promote transparency, and create jobs in this modern economy. I ask for your support because our wellbeing is at stake and we must defend it with reason, courage, and integrity.
