As a council representive, I would be elected to be a servant of the people. I believe in being open and transparent and inclusive regarding all issues. I don't believe in backroom deals or catering to ""special interest" to serve my own agenda. I would continue to be supportive of the neighborhood council system and believe they should have a seat at the table. They should play a major role in all legislative decisions. Some of the goals I would like to accomplish while in office are:

1. We create a sustainable budget and we live within our means. Also, we improve our economy by making L.A. friendlier to Businesses who will be returning to L.A. after we repeal the business tax that has chased them out.

2. We have a modern monorail transportation system, which is the most cost effective non-invasive and environmentally friendly method and we quit wasting our funds on additional carpool lanes that don't get people out of their cars and have a negative impact on our environment.

3. We have affordable utility rates, which are presently out of control and "fees" that continue to skyrocket. This can be accomplished if the city lives within a sustainable budget and quits "stealing" money from the DWP so that they can keep up with infrastructure maintenance and repairs as need without additional taxes.

4. We have a Neighborhood Council representative on all city commissions, especially the Land Use Commissions.

5. We restore the Neighborhood Council funds back to $50,000, as originally designated, because they are a vital asset to the city.
