Kens priorities as a member of the Rocklin City Council will be:

  • Public Safety and Emergency Response: Ken knows the safety of our neighborhoods is the key to a high quality, family oriented community. Ken will support strong law enforcement, rapid emergency response and expansion of our Neighborhood Watch Program.

  • Parks, Recreation and Open Space: Ken supports maintaining our parks at their present high standards. He supports following the Park Master Plan and adding parks as we grow. He supports continuing our recreation programs, adding new programs when new needs arise and favors adding open space whenever possible.

  • Fiscal Accountability: Ken will make sure your tax money is spent carefully. He will insist on balanced budgets, fiscal responsibility, and tight spending controls. He will demand transparency in city actions and ensure the public has an opportunity to provide suggestions and ask questions about the budget and spending.

  • Schools: Ken supports close cooperation between the City and the Rocklin School District to ensure we continue to have the highest quality schools. Ken knows joint planning and cooperation is in the best interest of our children.

  • Economic Development: Ken knows we must have a balanced economy and fill the empty stores and offices. He will place a high priority on keeping existing businesses in Rocklin and will support efforts to bring new businesses here, particularly the shopping centers at Sierra College Blvd and I-80 and along Granite Drive. He supports revitalizing the older Downtown area of the city.
