This information is provided by the candidate

I moved to the South Bay 15 years ago to enjoy its family-friendly lifestyle & eventually my wife and I chose to buy our home in Hermosa Beach, and raise our children here.

My wife and partner for 13 years, Dina, has generously helped guide my professional and personal life. Our family life centers around raising our two children.

I received my engineering degree from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona in 1989.

I earned my law degree from Loyola Law School in 1997.

I have kept a busy work schedule as an environmental engineer and lawyer for the past two decades, dealing with environmental engineering and compliance issues.

As an engaged homeowner rooted in the community, I share your interest in protecting our small town, environmentally conscious traditions. I have absolutely no interest in using this campaign as a stepping-stone to higher office.

Furthermore, if elected, I will not accept the taxpayer funded car allowance and retirement benefits perks currently offered to City Council members.

In addition to my interest in serving Hermosa Beach, I actively participate in a variety of worthwhile roles that benefit the community at large, including:

  • Furnish pro bono legal services and serve as First Co-Chair to the SCPI Charity for the Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) Foundation. SCPI Charity has, for the past 37 years, aided victims of OI, a genetic birth disorder that causes children's bones to break very easily.

  • Serve as Judge Pro Tem in the Los Angeles County Superior Courts, including Torrance and Compton, to help meet the needs of our overburdened courts.

  • Provided pro bono legal services to the Surfrider Foundation in advocating for the Foundation's interests before the California Coastal Commission.

Now that you've gotten acquainted with me, I hope you feel very welcome to get in touch.

Please to share your thoughts and suggestions about charting the future of our wonderful city. Thank you.
