Because of my experience and qualifications, I am the best choice for the Lakewood City Council

I served for 17 years as a member of the City Council, including three terms as Mayor. I balanced difficult budgets, made hard decisions and effectively represented you before local, state and federal officials.

I currently serve on the Executive Board of the Boy Scouts. Additionally, I previously served on the Board of the Greater Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, Governing Board of Lakewood Regional Medical Center, Lakewood Planning Commission and as the first Chairman of the Lakewood Cable TV Commission.

My wife and I have been small business owners for almost 15 years. I also owned a small bookstore, founded a non-profit foundation, taught in four community colleges and worked for a large corporation. My experience uniquely qualifies me to represent YOU during these challenging times

With the state budget crisis and the recession, our city continues to face serious challenges. This is not the time for on-the-job training for council members. Our city needs proven leadership to lead us through these troubled times. Because of my previous city council experience, I am better qualified than anyone else to serve on the city council.
