Born and raised in upstate New York, Bob moved to the west coast and has lived in the South Bay for over 45 years. He received his undergraduate degree from UCLA and his law degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles where he was honored by being named one of only two student teaching fellows at the end of his first year.

Bob is a longtime South Bay resident with a private practice in the area. He manages his own law office and understands fiscal responsibility by producing realistic budgets and meeting expenses just like other small business owners. Additionally, he has served as on the Board of Directors of two bar associations, and President of one. For over 25 years Bob has served as a Judge Pro Tem of the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Bob has served as member of the Manhattan Beach Planning Commission. During Bob's tenure he worked on the planning and development of Manhattan Beach Village and the Manhattan Beach Mall which continues to serve as an economic stimulus for the South Bay.

One of Bob's greatest achievements is his 27-year involvement in volunteer service helping men recover from the disease of alcoholism and other drug addictions. Under Bob's leadership at the Beacon House Association of San Pedro, the facility has grown from one building serving 16 men, to 8 buildings serving 120 men, all while maintaining a balanced budget and raising over 80% of its costs.

Other volunteer organizations Bob is involved with include the Log Cabin Republicans of Los Angeles, the South Bay Lincoln Club and the Beach Cities Republican Club.
