We can grow and develop in the city of Petaluma in a manner that meets the needs of the community while at the same time preserves the environment for future generations. If we grow in a sustainable manner we will be able to attract good paying jobs that will stay for years to come. When we look to the recent development in the downtown area we can se a perfect example of sustainable growth. We have housing, entertainment, dining, recreation, and shopping all within one neighborhood. This mixed-use development should be the model of how we grow in the years to come. |
