Candidate for
Council Member; City of Cotati

EXPERIENCE COUNTS -

For the past decade, I have served the city of Cotati with honor and integrity. I have seen this city through some of its most difficult years working to balance economic growth with long-term goals of sustainability, environmental responsibility and stewardship of Cotati's community culture. I have devoted years to our city as a forward thinking public servant who - with your help - will continue to make decisions that will keep Cotati sustainable for generations to come.

ROOTS in our Community -

My husband Ed and I have lived in Cotati since 1984 and have raised our two children here. Anthony & Marissa are both attending Santa Rosa Junior College. Ed and I share a strong belief in public service and giving back to the community. In addition to my service on the City Council, Ed is currently serving his fourth term on the Cotati/Rohnert Park School Board.

EXPERIENCE in Cotati City Government -

I served on the Cotati Planning Commission for three years prior to my appointment to our city council where I spearheaded such important projects as the Multi Modal Transit Village, now known as the Santero Way Specific Plan. I was appointed to the Cotati City Council in 2000. I was elected and re-elected - garnering more votes than any other candidate in the race - in 2002 and 2006.

EXPERIENCED in Leadership

I have made sure Cotati's voice is heard regionally and Statewide. I serve as a Director of the Sonoma County Transportation Authority (SCTA), and sit on its Executive Board, and I serve as a Director of the Sonoma County Regional Climate Protection Authority (SCRCPA) and sit on its Executive Committee as well. I am past president of the League of California Cities Northbay Division, and have sat on its policy committees including Revenue & Taxation, as well as Transportation, Communications & Public Works.

EXPERIENCED in Community Involvement -

My roots in the community run deep. I was the co-founder of Cotati 4H and former Executive Board Officer of 4H for Sonoma County. I have served as a member of the Board of Directors of the non-profit Accordion Festival and been an active volunteer for this nationally recognized event. Always active in my children's lives, I have served two terms as Thomas Page PTA president.
