Offering a quality public education is one of the most important duties a society fulfills, not just for the students, but for the countless individuals who dedicate their lives to the service of public education. As a long-time resident, active volunteer, and parent, I have had the opportunity to see first hand the hard work put in by staff and the opportunities afforded our children. The current fiscal crisis may have limited the resources afforded local education officials, but it hasn't dampened the spirit of those who've committed their lives to this endeavor. I have always tried to play an active role in supporting the education community. I've been involved with PTA, coached AYSO, worked as an art docent, served as a crossing guard, and offered my services as a counselor and mentor for students that need the support of a caring adult. I have a great respect for the people that make the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District what it is, and if elected I will serve as a tireless advocate of the children, parents, and staff who've invested so much in our local schools. I hope you'll allow me an opportunity to serve as your elected representative.
