I'm Andrew Carter. Four years ago, you elected me to City Council. This past year, I've also served as Vice Mayor.

We've accomplished a lot in that time. Much of that thanks to Measure Y. Open space preservation, recreation facilities, downtown improvements, affordable housing, neighborhood quality, street paving, senior services, and the list goes on.

I'm running for re-election to continue this track record. I'm also running because there are challenges ahead. The City is experiencing decreased revenues and increased costs. Council will need to make difficult decisions to balance our budget. Thanks to my knowledge of City programs and my business background, I'm uniquely qualified to help make those decisions.

I also want to make sure we keep faith with Measure Y. That measure was passed to make up for prior State takeaways and to fund new initiatives, not to pay for the increased costs of existing programs.

I've been honored to serve you on Council these last four years. I hope you'll trust me with another four years. I'd appreciate your vote. Thank you.
