VITAL STATISTICS: I was born in Palo Alto, CA on November 12, 1951. My family moved to Sacramento, CA in 1955, where I attended Eastern School, Starr King and Rio Americano High School, graduating in 1969. I then attended the University of California at Davis, graduating in 1974 with a B.A. in Geography. From there, I went to the University of California at San Francisco's Hastings College of Law, graduating in 1977 in the top 6% of my class. The Career Highlights below show my experience from that point. I have lived variously in Burlingame, CA (1979-1985), Sacramento, CA (1985-1987 and 1991-1994), Chicago, IL (1987-1991), Walnut Creek, CA (1994-2008), Pleasanton, CA (2008-2010) and Citrus Heights, CA (May, 2010 to present) over the past 30 years.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

EXPERIENCE (BANKING):

Feb. 1997 + Jan. 2009: Business Development Officer/Vice President for Imperial

Bank/Comerica Bank, Pleasanton, CA
- Responsible for sourcing and packaging for submission
to underwriting fundable commercial and SBA 7(a) loans.
Specialized inreal estate and equipment acquisitions and
business opportunity transactions. Production history
included funding over $52 million in the three year period 2000-2002 (53 SBA 7(a) loans funded in 2001).

July 1994 + Jan. 1997: SBA Sales Officer for Bank of America Community

Development Bank, Walnut Creek, CA
- Responsible for servicing the SBA loan requirements of 130 Bank of America branches in the San Francisco Bay Area for both SBA 7(a) and 504 products.

Apr. 1994 + June 1994: Loan Specialist, U.S. Small Business Administration,

Sacramento, CA
- Reviewed and processed applications for disaster loans filed by homeowners and businesses as a result of the Northridge earthquake.

May 1993 + Nov. 1993: Business Development Officer, Sacramento First National

Bank, Sacramento, CA
- Initial SBA sales position where I sourced franchised
opportunities looking for SBA 7(a) loans.

EXPERIENCE (LEGAL):

Mar. 1988 + Apr. 1991: General Counsel, Gloria Jean's Coffee Bean, Arlington

Heights, IL
- In-house attorney for what was the largest gourmet coffee franchise in the United States, with 100 franchises open and operating when I left this job.
- Negotiated leases for franchised locations in regional shopping malls throughout the country.
- Negotiated and prepared franchise agreements and handled UFOC preparation and renewal.
- Assisted franchisees with SBA financing to start up their stores.
