Board Member; Natomas Unified School District

Ryan Herche honed his passion for public policy in speech and debate competition at the high school level. After graduating with honors from University of the Pacific, he earned a Master of Science in Plant Pathology at UC Davis.

Ryan represented the Sacramento Youth and Alcohol Coalition (SYAC), which developed community level prevention strategies targeting teen alcohol use. He is now a Board Member on the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence Sacramento Region Affiliate (NCADD), which works to promote public understanding of alcoholism and drug addiction as treatable and preventable diseases. Ryan is a non-credentialed teacher. He teaches junior high and high school school students the art of speech and debate.

Ryan is running for school board because he is a prospective parent and is deeply concerned about the future of our schools. Ryan lives in Natomas and enjoys spending quality time with his wife Nkiruka.
