Making our parks better and safer for all members of our community

As a high school varsity-level coach, and youth league coach, I've seen the condition of our parks, and I know how to improve them. I've worked with kids for years, encouraging them to aim higher, work harder and achieve more - attitudes that our park district must adopt to succeed.

As a community leader and volunteer I've worked hard to improve our community, and I know what to do with our park programs and facilities to build opportunities for all neighborhoods and generations. I also know how to balance a budget and do more with less - something this District needs to achieve.

As the spouse of a police officer, and the proud parent of two, I know that we must do more to make our parks and programs safe. Our recreation programs should meet our needs and our parks should be fun, clean, and inspiring places for our kids.
