As a public official, I have been asked to endorse other officials and candidates I have never met nor talked to. Such people believe voters are impressed by long lists of endorsements, regardless of whether those endorsements mean anything. I give voters more credit than that.

At the start of this campaign, I made a deliberate decision not to request endorsements from anyone, either individuals or organizations, and I have stayed true to that position. Nevertheless, I have received unsolicited expressions of support from within NOCCCD (including other trustees and college faculty) and from community members across the District. I have chosen not to publicize the specifics of them, but for each one, I am truly grateful.
