The Issues

Do you think California is heading in the wrong direction?

I do.

But I also believe this state can once again be the envy of the Nation. We can again be a state where our budget is balanced, we have a growing green economy with environmental jobs, our public educational system is the best in the country, our families are healthy, and our elected leaders have the ability to get it done.

Over the past year, I've talked with teachers, community and small business leaders, health professionals, firefighters and police officers from within the 53rd Assembly District. The policy outlines below have been drawn from these meetings, my own professional experience advocating for children and the environment, and my years of education in public administration.
