With my history as an elected official, you will find an independent voice with a common sense approach.

Regarding my campaign, you will find a different philosophy of running, with no special interests or big name endorsements.

On the personal level, you'll find an individual with a family who has been a small business owner for over 17 years in San Mateo County.

During my three terms on the San Carlos City Council, I have had the reputation of being an independent voice for the people. Folks know I am not swayed by special interests, polling, or even necessarily the staff's analysis on an issue. I am the one to ask the tough questions and challenge the status quo when it is needed.

Each time I campaigned for council, I did so without the typical list of endorsements candidates usually have. My campaigns were always a grass-roots effort. Endorsements were not needed because the difference was made up with plenty of friends and supporters.

The result is a record that shows, I consider the impact to the citizens, to the average working family or small business owner, before I cast my vote. As your county supervisor, my pledge will be to keep the same grounding.

Thank you for your time and I would appreciate your vote on June 8.
