  • Established the Joint Terrorism Task Force, Cyber Crimes Squad, and the nation's first Regional Computer Forensic Laboratory.
  • Served as Assistant Sheriff overseeing the Law Enforcement Services Bureau, the communications center and the crime laboratory.
  • Promoted to Undersheriff in 2005, created Cold Case Forensic Team, Sex Crimes Investigation Unit, and Office of Inspectional Services.
  • Became Sheriff in 2009, established DNA Rapid Response Team &Border Crimes Initiative; secured millions in federal funds to battle drug smuggling.
