Statement of KEN YEAGER, Candidate for
Member, Board of Supervisors, District 4

Occupation: Member, Board of Supervisors, District 4
Education and Qualifications:
It has been an honor serving you on the Board of Supervisors for the last four years. During that time, I have worked to maintain fiscal stability while preserving core programs in health care, public safety, and social services. I have fought for our fair share of regional transportation dollars, resulting in millions for local highway improvements that reduce traffic congestion and create jobs. Through my leadership, a county-wide emergency notification system was established that alerts residents of a natural disaster. Because of my overall record, I have the support of the mayors of San Jose, Santa Clara, and Campbell.

As President of the Board of Supervisors, I am focusing on three issues-the economy, health care, and the environment. I am working to make Santa Clara County a healthier community by addressing chronic disease, obesity, poor nutrition, and lack of physical activity. As an environmentalist, I support policies that promote clean air and renewable energy sources. That is why Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger appointed me to the California Air Resources Board.

My accomplishments make me an effective advocate for you. To learn more about my vision, please visit http://www.kenyeager.com. Vote for healthier communities. Vote for Ken Yeager.
