Candidate for
Member, Democratic Party County Central Committee; County of Los Angeles; Assembly District 43

This information is provided by the candidate

As a member of the Los Angeles Democratic Party Central Committee, I am an active member of the Resolutions and Judicial Interview Committees, as well as serving as chair of the 43 AD delegation. My current position has allowed me to become a member of the California Democratic Party Executive Board, helping to resolve conflicts within the party as part of the Organizational Development Committee. I am an elected member of the Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley (DP/SFV), serving as Credentials Chair, and have contributed several hundred hours at the DP/SVF campaign office in '08. I have walked precincts in every election since `03. In addition, I was selected as the 2009 volunteer of the year by the 4-Star Democratic Club.

I would like to continue to register voters to support positions and candidates that reflect the values we share. The Los Angeles County Democratic Party is arguably the most influential in the state, affecting the platform and the official positions taken by the California Democratic Party. As such, we need to work for an equitable tax structure, equality, education, the environment, the disabled and the hard working people of California by cleaning up the budget mess created by voting requirements that make a mockery of majority rule. One of my goals has been to keep younger people involved in the political process and encouraging increasing participation in the party. Recruiting two young Democrats (Steve Ferguson and Igor Kagan), to run for County Central Committee on our slate is one part of meeting that goal.

Professionally, I educate managers of nonprofit charitable organizations to make their organizations as effective as possible in serving their clients and communities.

I respectfully ask for your vote to allow me to continue the work.
