UNCONSTITUTIONAL UNDECLARED WARS -- IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, IRAN

The Founding Fathers put it in the Constitution that the Congress declares war. Not the President. Thus any war which has not been declared by Congress is unconstitutional. This includes the war in Iraq. It includes the war in Afghanistan. And it includes the war which evidently is about to start in Iran.

Is it clear to you why we are fighting all these wars in the Midde East? Do you believe what the government is telling us about these wars in the Middle East? Do you trust the government?

If you were going to blow up your neighbor's house -- while your neighbor is inside it -- with his children -- you better have a really good reason. Does America have a really good reason for bombing Iraq, Afghanistan, and Iran? Do you know what it is? Do you actually believe it?

Do you want your son to go to the Middle East to kill people, to bomb homes and wives and children? Does he know what he's doing? Does he know why he is doing it? Do you know why he is doing it? Do you want to risk that he will come home mangled or dead, without even knowing why?

How would you feel if someone were bombing your home, your wife, and your children?

The government says we are fighting for liberty and defending America. Have they explained to you how this works? Do you believe it?

When a big kid beats up on little kids just to show how tough he is, people think he is stupid, selfish, and mean. He is a bully, and people hate him.

It is necessary to be strong. It is also necessary to be good. If America is strong and good, then we don't need to go to war in numerous far off places.

What does this have to do with local elections? Politics is a pyramid of power. If you want to change what is happening in the country, then the place to start is in your own backyard.
