Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Jim Garo Baklayan

Candidate for
Judge-Superior Court; County of Los Angeles; Office 131

This information is provided by the candidate

Equality, fairness, honesty and integrity have always been important in our judicial sytem. My experience as a temporary judge has shown me that in order for someone to feel as though they had their day in Court; that they were treated fairly and justice was served, they need to be heard with patience and respect.

I believe that our judicial system is a good one and that for most of the time it works. I believe it can be improved upon by, among other things, replicating what has been done and proven to work in other jurisdictions in regards to jury selection and panels.

If elected I will do the very best I can in continuing to maintain the integrity and honor of the position. I would be proud to serve the City of Los Angeles in this capacity.
