Marc Levine is running to bring his strong leadership, community building and technology skills to City Hall.

Marc wants to help preserve our local neighborhoods and environment, help navigate through this tough budgetary & staffing crisis, and lead us into a greener, healthier future with Marin Clean Energy and improved public safety facilities.

Marc Levine has held leadership posts throughout his career, helping to develop innovative solutions at the local, state, national and international levels.

  • Currently serves as Executive Director of ABDF.org, an on-the-ground relief provider for Tsunami victims in war-torn Sri Lanka.

  • Developed award-winning software for human rights organizations, in the process raising over $3 million including funding from the US State Department and the Soros Foundation, technology which has been downloaded in over 60 countries and is in use globally.

  • Earned his Masters Degree in National Security Affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, earning a "Special Act Award" for his work to promote the elite graduate school around the world.

  • While earning his Political Science Degree at Cal State Northridge, he was elected Student Body President, overseeing a $3 million budget. Statewide, he was elected Chair of the California State Student Association.

  • A few of Marc's other honors include: City of San Rafael CERT Graduate (then called DART); Tech Laureate at San Jose Tech Museum of Innovation; Community Technology Foundation's ZeroDivide Fellows program; Chair of local 6th Assembly District Democrats; serves as 2nd Vice Chair of state Democratic Party's 'Business & Professional Caucus'; Founder of Marin County Young Democrats; served on staff for Hillary Clinton for President in the Nevada Caucus and Obama for President in the Pennsylvania November elections.

Marc lives in the Sun Valley neighborhood of San Rafael, with his wife and two children. He is a member of the Sun Valley Neighborhood Association and enjoys hiking the nearby Ridge Trail with his family.
