  • Born and raised in Los Angeles area. 15 year Rancho Palos Verdes homeowner.

  • Descendant of circa 1786 Juan Jose Sepulveda, future owner of the Rancho de los Palos Verdes, and whose family history is tied to Peninsula areas, such as the Sepulveda Landing and Sepulveda Street. History of Sepulveda's can be found in the Palos Verdes Libraries.

  • Retired police Sergeant + served for 35 years, 15 of which were within the Community-Relations Section. Commanded the Community Affairs Section the last six years as Sergeant that included oversight responsibility to manage and oversee community Senior Lead Officers, Youth Auxiliary programs, such as the Explorer and Cadet employees, community service programs, such as the New Year's Eve Anti-Gunfire Campaign, youth reading at libraries, homeless and senior resources. Became a recognized expert in the area of Workplace Violence and Threat Assessments to the commercial and business sites, such as libraries and city buildings. Former member of Chamber of Commerce and Exchange Club.

  • Recipient of numerous community awards, such as the South Bay Medal of Valor Distinguished Service Award, and Delinquency Control Institute/U.S.C. Academic Excellence Award.

  • Received the degrees of AA in Police Administration from El Camino College; Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Affairs from Pepperdine University; M.B.A. from University of La Verne, and currently in 2nd year of a Doctorate of Public Administration Degree (DPA) from University of La Verne.

  • Volunteer teacher in Children's' Services at local Palos Verdes church.

  • Neighborhood Watch Captain and former board member of Homeowners Association.

  • Enjoy hobbies such as oil painting and riding my horse in the Peninsula hills.

It is truly my desire to play an active and responsible role and voice within the community and do what is needed as a Board member to enhance our quality of life through increased awareness of life-long learning, programs and services.
