The future of our city is unquestionably tied to the education of our children. Robert's campaign is dedicated to improving our school system.

  • Robert will support efforts to construct and monitor outcome for new charter schools.
  • Robert will ensure an after-school program in every elementary school in the district.
  • Non-profit groups like Project Grad LA, the United Way, and the Fulfillment Fund are currently doing work that increases the high school graduation rate and increases the number of students that enroll in college. Robert will work together with these groups to benefit LAUSD students.
  • LAUSD loses many of its best teachers every year. Robert will work to support and retain teachers who demonstrate outstanding job performance.
  • Robert will direct resources to ensure that our schools are safe for all children.
  • Robert will spearhead efforts to coordinate student awards, teacher incentives, the expediting of charter schools, and the management of after-school programs, among other initiatives.
