Glendora needs a fresh outlook!
I would like to recommend for Glendora voters to support Kristin Parisi March 3, for the Glendora city council.

  • Krisitin Parisi is a highly qualified candidate who holds a Master's degree in Public Administration.
  • Kristin Parisi has been active in the Glendora community for decades in many ways. She has not only been regularly attending Glendora City Council meetings, but she has been actively involved in the following Glendora groups:
o Glendora Historical Society-where she has been a docent one Saturday a month since November 2008.
    o Glendora PTA
    o Foothill Protection Commitees
o Supporter of NO on Measure A
    o Glendora Preservation Foundation
    o Glendora Pride II
  • Kristin Parisi is for decreasing the height and density of proposed projects (like she has been actively helping the residents near the proposed 34' tall Bonnie Cove & Gladstone project to get the height and density decreased, so it will better fit in with the 15' tall homes currently in the area). Both opponents Gene Murabito and Karen Davis have approved buildings with excessive height and density. For example, a few of these projects include: the enormous building on Elwood and Route 66 (it has limited open space for the children who will move in), the failed 3 story condo project on Vermont near Foothill (that lacked an elevator), and the 34' tall building in the middle of a residential area at Bonnie Cove and Gladstone (they both have ignored the concerns of residents who live near the project and those who are simply familiar with the area and realize it just doesn't fit in with the existing designs in the area). These buildings don't represent the small town atmosphere Glendora is known for.
  • Kristin Parisi will research topics before voting on them & will ask questions & will get answers. A wonderful example of how the current Glendora city council approves topics without reading contracts or even staff reports, is how the current city council approved leasing over 9 acres of the South Hills Wilderness Park for the next 15 years to a business that now drives its delivery trucks and employee vehicles on the South Hills hiking trails. The sad thing is that the current city council admitted they never knew they approved this, yet they approved this on a consent calendar in June 2006. I feel confident in knowing that Kristin Parisi would never approve damaging any hillside area, let alone put a business in a wilderness park. She won't just vote one way to get a 5-0 vote, because after all- not ALL Glendorans think alike.
Kristin Parisi is a hard working, caring, empathetic candidate who cares about the environment, the residents who live in all areas of Glendora, and who wants the town to prosper and to thrive. I am proud to endorse Kristin Parisi. Please join me and vote for Kristin Parisi March 3. Glendora needs a fresh outlook!
