RICHARD PAUL CARTER - - It's Time for CHANGE

Simi Valley is at a cross roads in determining its future long-range growth strategy. The next developmental decisions will have a lasting impact on the landscape of our city. I want to protect the peaceful, relaxing beauty Simi Valley has to offer.

My goal, and promise, is to passionately represent the citizens of Simi Valley.

I will lead technologically and economically vibrant long-term strategic plans that will maintain the essence of our community while creating jobs, ensuring public safety, supporting education, and protecting our landscape.

I'm blessed with a beautiful wife, 15-year-old daughter and 4-year-old son. In June, after 18 years, I left corporate America. I've worked in manufacturing and corporate headquarters and traveled the United States, Europe, Asia and extensively in Mexico. Most recently, I was the Quality Director for Technicolor in North Hollywood.

A 6-year U.S. Navy Nuclear Power Submarine veteran, I hold a B.S.E.E. from Tennessee State University and graduated from Pepperdine's Executive MBA program.

I'm currently enrolled in the 2008-2009 Ventura County Leadership Academy.

We should be proud to call Simi Valley the place we live, work, and learn, but most importantly, it should be the place we call HOME.

MAY GOD BLESS.
