I am a lifelong resident of the Inland Empire .

I was proud the taxpayers chose me by primary to run for Mayor in the City of San Bernardino . My dad was elected seven times as City Attorney, and my mom still lives in the house where I was raised. But the proudest achievement of my professional career was when I became a partner ten years ago in Tomlinson, Nydam & Prince, LLP, where I have battled to protect the rights of consumers and injured persons, and I have stood up for the workers in wrongful termination cases.

In my personal life, my wife Luci and I are fortunate to have two beautiful children, Annelise and Justin.

I know that nothing worth having ever comes easy.

I graduated with honors from San Bernardino High School and UC Berkeley, working evenings and summers to support myself. At Hastings College of the Law I served on a law review and worked for California Supreme Court Justice Marcus Kaufman, who was appointed from the Inland Empire .

Through hard work, integrity, and a little bit of luck, I have been able to live the American dream. But I know that others in our community are not as fortunate as I have been, and I diligently donate my time and legal experience through the Legal Aid Clinic of San Bernardino to help people who cannot afford to hire an attorney.

I was happy to step forward when our community needed it.

I am the President of the Rotary Club, Director of the Downtown Business Association, Trustee of the Native Sons of the Golden West, and past President of the Inland C's California Alumni Association. In 2007, I founded and served as Chair of the San Bernardino Summit which created a framework for the revitalization of the downtown area advocated by San Bernardino Mayor Pat Morris, and led the campaign to defeat Measure S, a permanent property tax that would have cost millions to local businesses and citizens without accountability. In 2002 the San Bernardino County Department of Public Health recognized me with an award for authoring and leading the fight for the passage of a smoking ordinance in San Bernardino , which made that city a leader in public health.

I am proud to be a Democratic Party Leader.

I was elected to the State Executive Board Member of the California Democratic Party, and I am past President of the Democratic Luncheon Club of San Bernardino , the largest political club in the Inland Empire . In 2004 I was elected to the Democratic National Convention as I have been to numerous state conventions. I have been elected three times from the 63rd Assembly District to serve on the San Bernardino County Democratic Central Committee. I served as Parliamentarian from 2004-06 and led a committee which drafted revisions to the by-laws adopted by the Central Committee.

Vote for the most qualified candidate to restore Principles to Congress.

Instead of serving the Washington DC special interests I will serve the people of the Inland Empire. I will oppose earmarks for interests outside the sponsor's district. As your Congressman I will focus on our needs and the interests of our district.
