Jeff was raised in Southern California for most of his young life. During high school, his family moved to central California where he graduated 10th in his class receiving math awards and other high honors. Jeff participated in student government, athletics, and in scouting where he later served as a scoutmaster.

During college, Jeff served on the student council and various service clubs. After graduating college with an Electrical Engineering Degree, Jeff moved back to Los Angeles working at various companies finally ending up as Vice-President of a consulting company doing business with the US Navy. Jeff was transferred to San Diego to open an office in Coronado serving North Island then later moving to downtown and finally ending up in Linda Vista.

While living downtown, Jeff served more than 3 years as the volunteer director for the San Diego International Students Assoc working with some 50+ language schools, colleges, and universities helping some 40,000+ international students, workers, and tourists visiting San Diego. Jeff would mention that you could travel the world without ever leaving San Diego.

After moving to Linda Vista, Jeff decided to get more involved in his local community. Starting as an Election Precinct Representative, Jeff quickly moved up to Community Leader, Chairman of Recruiting and Training, Vice-Chairman of the County Voter Registration Taskforce, and finally leader of the 76th Assembly District for the Republican Party.

During the 2006 election, as leader of the Assembly District, Jeff was asked to run for the 76th State Assembly which he greatly enjoyed, making many new friendships. One of those friendships was with the President of the Linda Vista Town Council where Jeff promised that after the election he would return and help in whatever capacity they needed.

With the great surprise of many, Jeff kept his promised and returned to Linda Vista where he was elected to the board of the Town Council and then later elected as Vice-President. Not long after, Jeff was elected as Vice-President Community Relations of the Linda Vista Community Development Corp and as a board member of the Linda Vista Community Planning Group. Jeff is also currently serving on the Linda Vista Recreation Council and the Linda Vista Multicultural Fair Steering Committee.

However, Jeff has found a true passion working as a board member of the Kearny Mesa Kiwanis Club and member of the Linda Vista Lyons Club which work to help children in the San Diego area. These clubs help raise money for Children's Hospital and work with many other great organizations such as the Girls and Boys Clubs, the Bayside Community Center, and the Children's Center.

Recently, Jeff was promoted to Chairman of Community and Precinct Operations for the entire county of San Diego, a great honor. But the greatest honor Jeff received was a few months ago when he was asked to run for the California State Senate.

Jeff looks forward to continuing his public service, by serving the good citizens of San Diego working as their representative in Sacramento fighting for their issues and concerns preserving our city and the great State of California.
