Rick Montaine, the 40th Assembly District Republican Nominee in 2006, is the true conservative republican for the 23rd Senatorial District. Rick is a 39 year resident of Southern California committed to public service. Rick's father, who is a United States Air Force veteran, instilled in him a deep sense of patriotism and desire to serve his nation.

The economy is the greatest concern for our families, friends and neighbors. It is not acceptable for hardworking families to lose jobs, pensions, homes, and health insurance while our state overspends and tries to balance our state budget on the backs of hardworking people.

Rick Montaine is dedicated to increasing value to our community by supporting legislature to protect your job, pension, and home:

  • Creating a business friendly California for productive industries.

  • Balancing the State Budget without borrowing from pension funds.

  • Lowering taxes

  • Improving highways and other transportation needs

  • Making sure that schools are fully prepared to educate our kids

  • Protecting individuals from identity theft crimes

  • Banning together neighborhoods against gangs, and random acts of violence

  • Expanding the "Megan's Law" and "Jessica's Law" with increased penalties to sexual predators

  • Preventing government from taking homes or property for private uses.

Rick believes there are better ways to resolve budget issues in California without taxing the pocketbook of hard working individuals. "By embracing diversity, staying alert to local issues, and drawing upon my 17 years of technical expertise as a systems security analyst, I am confident I can continue to contribute toward a brighter future for our great state of California."
