Mayor Curt Hagman's Plan for a Better California: Economic Growth, Educational Excellence and Public Safety

California needs government leaders who know what it means to create and grow a business, understand how government can interfere with economic progress, who appreciate the importance of education to future success, and who understand public safety needs.

Curt Hagman, the Mayor of Chino Hills, has exactly the kind of business, educational and public safety experience that makes him the ideal government leader for California and the Chinese community.

And now Mayor Curt Hagman is campaigning to be the next Assemblyman to represent the 60th Assembly District in the California State Legislature.

As a successful business owner, Curt Hagman understands the problems caused by excessive taxation, rising health care costs, worker's compensation fraud, unfair law suits, and excessive government regulation. Curt Hagman faces these problems every day in the operation of his own business.

Curt Hagman also feels that government should be a partner with, not a threat to, private business growth. As Mayor of Chino Hills, Curt has worked long and hard to speed the process of opening new businesses and reducing the cost of doing business in his City, making Chino Hills one of the most successful and fastest growing cities in all of Southern California. As the Chairman of the San Bernardino County Workforce Investment Board, Curt Hagman is also working to insure that his County's job training money is being spent to develop job skills that local businesses say they need for their future economic growth.

Curt Hagman understands how important good education is to the financial future of California and its children. Him and his wife Grace, who Curt met while studying at UCLA, are the proud parents of two children, Jonathan and Elizabeth, who are currently enrolled in Chino Hills' public schools.

Curt Hagman has been very active in Chino Hills' school system for many years. As a PTA member, Curt helped create the Chino Hills Foundation to raise funds for a children's library. He has participated many times in his local schools' Student Government Day, Principal for a Day and Literacy Days.

Finally, Curt Hagman knows very well that economic growth and educational achievement will not continue if citizens are unsafe. As a member of the Chino Hills City Council, Curt led the drive to double law enforcement personnel in his city. Curt Hagman is also the Founder and Commander of the disaster assistance volunteers who work for the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, a team of highly trained citizen volunteers who are mobilized when additional security is needed during disasters (fires, earthquakes, floods, etc.). Curt has received numerous awards for his volunteer activities from the Chino Hills Police Department and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. Curt Hagman will make sure that our homes, businesses, and schools remain safe.
