? 1. What, if anything, do you believe the federal government should do to control global climate change?

Answer from Christina Avalos:

We need to restore our environment to provide a green and healthy future for us and for our children. I will work in implementing environmental green-collar jobs for providing renewable sources of energy to reduce and eventually eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels and foreign oil.

? 2. What should the federal government do, if anything, to ensure that every American has health coverage?

Answer from Christina Avalos:

A universal health care program is needed to reduce the cost of health care. Major profits can not be a factor in health care. With the regulation of corporate profits, lower limits of out-of-pocket costs will be easier to implement. There are many issues that need to be addressed in health care including, Hereditary diseases and other illnesses that cannot be excluded from care.

? 3. What, if anything, should the federal government do about immigration?

Answer from Christina Avalos:

We have laws in place to address immigration; however, we need federal funding to meet the needs of this department. There is a back log and work overload within this department and the services it was meant and could provide. Just like you have a family budget, Congress needs to budget our tax money so that we can all look forward to a secure & safe future in which working families can lead healthy and productive lives building prosperous businesses so we can all share in a better tomorrow.
